One year of Ploom in the UAE: the moments and people behind it
When did Ploom launch in the UAE?
Ploom UAE is celebrating its one-year anniversary! The official launch, on 29th September 2025, was marked with a special event: the opening of The Gallery by Ploom at Salvaje. Since then, the year saw a rich cultural program of events across major Dubai venues, featuring an array of local artists, as well as the implementation of a steadily simpler and more efficient online service for consumers.
Below, we take a look back at the past year, and also look ahead to the future of Ploom and the world of heated tobacco.
Ploom’s first year in the UAE, month by month
Ploom is dedicated to reaching adult nicotine product users not only online, but offline too. The brand has spent the past year showing up in-person across Dubai, from a first touchpoint for travelers passing through the airport to a rotating program hosted by venue partners across the city, alongside a growing retail presence nationwide.

Design first: what Ploom brings to heated tobacco in the UAE
Ploom AURA was built around a distinctive, elegant silhouette featuring Smart HeatFlow technology, for true tobacco taste from first puff to last.
That design thinking extends even further to an emphasis on personalization. Stylish front panels and back covers are interchangeable while there are a number of accessories to choose from, allowing you to add a personal touch to your tobacco ritual.
EVO tobacco sticks complete that experience, featuring Ploom’s signature ActivBlend tobacco to consistently deliver rich toasted tones, whatever flavor is chosen.
The clearest evidence of Ploom’s design ambition is in its artist collaborations, such as the Ploom AURA Glacier White front panel, created by Dubai-based artist Nour Yasin.

None of this came together alone. Throughout the year, Ploom brought in a mix of local and international talent to give the brand its own unique voice in Dubai, turning each venue into a shared space rather than a simple retail moment.
Erkin Demir, photographer
Erkin Demir shaped how The Gallery by Ploom looked and felt through the lens of his camera. He created the visual identity of the route from one venue to the next, photographing guests throughout the year, with a selection of his portraits later shown on illuminated totems at Zenon.
Nour Yasin, artist
Dubai-based artist, Nour Yasin, previewed bespoke artwork inspired by Ploom at the “Apollo, Born of Light” evening at Zenon. He then created original artwork exclusively for the Ploom AURA Glacier White Front Panel, a collaboration that helped to shape the brand's design direction this year.
Lola Bozzano, pianist, singer, and DJ
Madrid-born artist, Lola Bozzano, mixed live piano, vocals, and electronic music at two of the year’s defining events: the opening night of The Gallery By Ploom at Salvaje, and the “Apollo, Born of Light” evening at Zenon.
Anastasia McQueen, saxophonist
International saxophonist, Anastasia McQueen, performed at that same Salvaje opening night, then returned for The Gallery by Ploom's stop at Surf Club , delivering spectacular performances in two very different settings within a single season.
The Gallery by Ploom: culture as a meeting place
The Gallery by Ploom is best described as a moving route rather than a single address: a recurring evening that brings Ploom into a different Dubai venue each time, built around art, music, and food. Since opening at Salvaje, it has traveled to Surf Club and Zenon, each stop shaped by the venue itself and by the artists invited to take part.
At several of these events, guests have been able to join a guided Ploom AURA trial session, hosted by Ploom Ambassadors, for a hands-on way to see the device and ask questions directly.

Easier every month: what changed for Ploom users
Alongside Ploom’s events calendar, this year also brought more subtle changes to how Ploom works day-to-day.
Ploom UAE improved the delivery experience on Ploom.ae by partnering with swftbox as their new delivery provider, helping to ensure a faster and more reliable service. This brought free same-day delivery on all orders placed before 11:00 AM, within 24 working hours thereafter, and within three to four working days for listed remote areas, with no minimum spend. Delivery options are also more flexible: after placing an order, customers can easily update their delivery address through a secure WhatsApp link, if needed.
Ploom Club members also earn points on every order, which they can redeem for different rewards or discounts over time.
For those who prefer a live experience, Ploom’s presence extends well beyond its website.
